My second trip to Alaska was to climb Mount Denali (highest peak in North America) and ended in disaster. I ended my climb at the 14,000 foot camp with horrible silver dollar sized blisters on both feet brought on by using new mountaineering boots not properly broke in. Still, it was a beautiful mountain, a learning experience and gave me the opportunity to spend some time hitch hiking around Alaska, sleeping under bridges and talking with locals on the road.
